Celebrating 50 Years of Breeding and Showing Arabian Horses!
Crystal Castle Arabians
Breeding Quality Arabian Horses since 1958
Nestled in a valley at the edge of Sand Ridge State Forest resides the results of over fifty years of selective Arabian horse breeding in the United States...and thousands of years in the deserts of Egypt and Arabia.
In 1958 the Berry family obtained their first Arabian horses through the Carleton Cumming “Skyline Trust Arabian Horse Lend-Lease Program.” Raising, training, and showing Arabian horses became a multi-generational family project, and adhered to the contract designated by the trust that the Berry’s would “care for, show, and introduce others to the wonderful world of the Arabian horse”.
This agreement placed an enormous responsibility on the Berry family. They were asked to help carry on a program of breeding Arabian horses noted for their uniform substance and elegance and which was to be maintained through careful linebreeding of the Abu Farwa and Ferseyn bloodlines. Later these lines were infused with *Bask and Fadjur to produce the classic get seen in the Crystal Castle herd today. Five uniqe and carefully selected Arabian stallions stand at Crystal Castle today. Each stallion offers a distinct quality which he has shown to transfer to his progeny. Through this selective breeding program, CCA-bred horses are found performing successfully in an incredible variety of disciplines, ranging from high stepping park horses to tough 100 mile endurance horses. Above all, Crystal Castle breeds for consistency of type and temperment that are classic to the Arabian horse.
